I have always made work or repaired things which is often the same kind of work. When I was lucky, I had a studio or a dedicated room. But sometimes, it all had to be done around the edges and at the kitchen table. My work usually deals with social issues and involves assembling objects.

In Austin, I have frequently participated in group exhibitions at La Peña Art Gallery, a collective space. They have annual exhibitions for International Women’s Day and the Day of the Dead. They also have a Valentine’s Day fundaiser called “Toma mi Corazón.

I had a space in the Queensboro Art Studio from 2012-4. It was a very creative time for me, much like now. Here is an installation I did for the Yellow Rose of Texas in 2014. To listen to the audio loop I created and to read my statement, click on the rose!
